Our school motto is Every person learning every day with SPIRIT (Success, Pride, Integrity, Respect, Involvement, and Teamwork). Each month during the school year we will emphasize an element of SPIRIT. This month's focus is on Respect.
[February 2010]Hang Time
Attention all Silverhawks! Are you busy Wednesday after school? If you're not, come hang out with us at Decades Hang Time! It's Wednesday, February 10th from 2:45 - 3:45 in the MPR. Permission slips were handed out in advisement. You must have a signed permission slip to attend. There will be food, games, and prizes---all for FREEEE! If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Siroky. Hope to see you there!
[February 09, 2010]Whale Watching Trip!
Would you like to go Whale watching? Mr. Hunter is putting together a Whale Watching trip for BVMS students and their families. The trip is scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2010 and will leave from Balboa. The cost is $11 per person and all students must be accompanied by at least one parent. This flier contains more information and a permission slip. There are only 120 spots available and it is first come, first served! The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, February 12th. If you need more information, please see Mr. Hunter.

Do you sing, dance or have another special talent? We will be having a Talent Showcase this year! We will also be auditioning for show announcers. Sign ups will start next week, with auditions on Thursday, February 11th from 2:45 - 5:00pm.
[January 29, 2010]Talent Show - Part II
As part of the BVMS Talent Show, we are having a T-shirt Design Contest. The winning design will go on a T-shirt that will be given to students who participate in the Talent Showcase including the T-shirt design winner.
Entries should:
* Be on paper 8 1/2" by 11" or 9" x 11"
* Be no more than 6 colors
* Follow theme: Bella Vista's Got Talent
* Include name of Artist and Advisement teacher's name
* Be submitted by due date: Friday, Feb 5th
Please follow the directions or you may be disqualified. All entries MUST be turned in before 2:30pm on Friday, Feb 5th to the front office.
[January 29, 2010]BVMS Golf Club
The BVMS golf club will be starting again this week on Wednesday, January 27 and continue until March 3 at the SCGA golf course in Murrieta from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. No experience is necessary and lessons and clubs are provided. If you have questions, please see Mr. Maker.

Mrs. McDonald, a 6th grade Language Arts teacher at BVMS, coordinated a “letters to the troops” letter writing campaign earlier this school year. She was recently recognized by The Californian newspaper for her efforts. Click here to learn more.
