Science Olympiad (Adviser: Mr. Davisson, edavisson2@tvusd.us)

Science Olympiad team students are committed individuals that are driven to explore science and engineering in a competitive format.  Students battle against other middle schoolers in Riverside & San Bernadino County in their knowledge and abilities of science & engineering to see who will walk away with the most medals!  We currently have 2 teams and are looking for more 6th grade students to join!

In 2024-2025 we exceeded all our past years in medals taken home! Way to go!

  • Anatomy & Physiology 4th Place in (BVMS Team 1) earned 2 medals
  • Entomology 4th place (BVMS Team 1) earned 2 medals
  • Reach for the Stars 4th place (BVMS Team 2) earned 2 medals
  • Write-it Do-it 4th (BVMS Team 1) & 5th (BVMS Team 2) earned 4 medals

Math Olympiad Club (Adviser: Mrs. Siroky, asiroky@tvusd.us)

Compete in fun-filled mathematics against over 120,000 other students from 39 other countries across the world.  If you love problem solving, developing your mathematical flexibility and thinking outside-the-box, you'll love Math Olympiad!

Cyber Security Club  (Adviser: Mr. Davisson, edavisson2@tvusd.us)

Our Cyber team is a small group of students interested in going in deep to figure out our new digital world and compete against other students from all over the world. The club competes in 3 main competitions: CyberPatriot (global network computing competition), SoCal Cyber Cup (Southern California Regional Tournament), and the Inland Empire Mayors Cup (Riverside & San Bernardino County Tournament).

This is a club full of self-driven students in the areas of: systems administration, computing, networking, Linux, windows client, windows server, log analysis, open-source intelligence (OSINT), web application exploitation, wireless access exploitation, network traffic analysis, cryptography, enumeration & exploitation, scanning, and password-cracking.
