We are excited to begin Phase Two of our math curriculum pilot, which will run from October 13th through December 19th. Click on the title to check out the details.

Earlier this fall, we launched our mathematics curriculum pilot at the middle and high school levels as part of our continued commitment to strengthening math instruction in alignment with the updated California Mathematics Framework.

During the first phase of the pilot (August 18–October 10), middle school classrooms explored MidSchoolMath, while high school classrooms engaged with Imagine Learning. We are deeply grateful to our teachers and students for their thoughtful participation, and to our families for your support and feedback throughout this process.

We are now excited to begin Phase Two of our pilot, which will run from October 13 through December 19. During this next phase, both middle and high school classrooms will be piloting Amplify Desmos Math, a problem-based, technology-enhanced curriculum designed to promote deep conceptual understanding, student discourse, and equitable access to rigorous mathematics.

While not all students and teachers will participate directly in the pilot, sample textbooks remain available for public review at each of our middle and high schools, as well as at the District Office. We encourage families to take advantage of these opportunities to learn more about the programs under consideration.

Your partnership and feedback are essential as we evaluate these instructional materials and determine which curriculum will best support high-quality math learning for all TVUSD students. We look forward to continuing this important work together.
