Welcome

BVMS Health Office Staff

Welcome to the BVMS Health Office website. We believe student health is a critical component of success at school. We hope the information on this page will help support the development of healthy students at BVMS!

Healthy students learn better. Our goal in the health office is to keep students healthy and safe while at school. Due to unexpected illnesses and emergencies, current home, work and cell numbers are important to our school. Please take time to update any changes in your personal phone numbers and emergency contact numbers.

Health clerks at each school provide first aid and health services support.  The school nurses oversee the health clerks, assist with special education issues, design and oversee specialized physical health care plans, provide vision and hearing screenings, respond to emergencies, review home/hospital requests, and consult with teachers, parents, and others on health and safety issues.  The school nurses also participate in the assessments and IEP process.
